This clock was an impulse buy at a local auction.
The clock was in very poor condition. The shellac finish was flaking and the wood was much discolored. There was no glass in the bezel and the movement was missing the suspension spring and the pendulum.
I had to refinish the case and replace the missing parts and clean and repair the movement. I’ve restored several mantel clocks such as this and they are always rewarding projects. Vintage clocks like these are very easy to obtain and if you are prepared to get your hands dirty and have your patience tested, you can end up with a very nice functioning clock. The Westminster movements in these clocks are quite a challenge to take apart and reassemble.

The clock is very pretty. Does it have the pendulum and key? How many chimes are in the back? Did you say it was westminster chimes? And lastly what is your asking price?
Thank you for your thoughts and for visiting our blog! Actually, we just post these photos to let people see our collection; the clocks themselves are not actually for sale. This clock does have a Westminster chime. Thanks again.
I have the casing complete with the striking rods, the clock face and pendulum of an Urgos wall clock, I am trying to get the correct movements for the same to restore this clock.
There are not too many of these clocks in Malaysia, that is where I live, wil you be able to tell me how I go about purchasing or sourcing one. i need the complete movements.

Urgos movements are still available for sale from clock supply companies, so you should be able to find one that fits with what you have and reassemble your clock!
